Hi everyone,

I'm planning on doing a tangled cake for my daughter's birthday. I'm going to make the tower out of RKTs and cover it with candy melts before putting on a layer of fondant. I then want to pipe vines over the fondant. Which icing would be best to us? (I'm a bit of a beginner) I had planned on using BC but now I'm thinking maybe that would just make the fondant sloppy. Would royal icing be a better choice?

thanks.

I've piped buttercream on top of fondant and it works fine. Just doesn't set up hard like royal.

Whatever icing you choose, you should soften it with 1 teaspoon of corn syrup to a cup of icing. The vines will come out better and stick better.
