I need to make a rugby cake for a birthday. I was going to do just the pitch but thought it may be a bit bland. I want to do the rugby ball but am stumped on how to get a 3d shape?
Thanks

If u google: rugby ball cakes, and click on images, you ll see a bunch of cakes in that shape that can inspire u.
Maybe u can stack oval shaped cakes or round and then sculpt them using an image of a rugby cake for inspiration. Using a couple of small dowels as well. The base of the cake should have some flatness for support too. Just an idea.
