I made a fruitcake and wasn't as deep as I wanted, I don't want to bin it, can i just layer the cake ? Maybe sandwich it together? Will it just stick together? Sounds a silly question
Thanks

You will cover it with marzipan before anything else, right?

Layer it with marzipan using boiled jam as stickum.

Fruitcake is traditionally 2.5"-3" in depth. Add 1/4'-1/2" marzipan plus 1/2" sugarpaste .... How deep is "deep" ?

Layer it with marzipan in the middle. Finish it as usual.

If it's only a little bit too shallow, I've put a drum the same size under it and iced that with it (ie cake and drum, all in one go)... adds another quarter inch to the height!
