I am looking for a soft whipped bakery creamcheese icing like the icing they put on the Cinnabon cinnamon buns....not gritty not plain BC with a brick of Creamcheese thrown in...

Does anyone have a recipe they can share?

Thanks thumbs_up.gif

I haven't tried this one, but it sounds good

Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting:

16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 1/2 cups powdered confectioners sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold

Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream to nearly stiff peaks, then add the whipped cream to the cream cheese mixture and beat quickly to combine (don't overbeat).

Cinnabon has perfect copycat recipes on the web. I made the whole thing and they were exact. Huge and fantastic... and time-consuming.

I"m from SA so I'm not familiar with the Cinabon filling you speak of BUT I did a delish fluffy cream cheese icing recently...
Ingredients Icing Mix:

150gr Icing Sugar sifted
230g Cream Cheese; smooth (1 tub)
230g Marscapone Cheese (1 tub)
1 tsp vanilla extract
250-300ml Fresh Cream (you call it double/whipping cream I think)

Icing Method:
1. Beat cream cheese and mascarpone cheese until smooth.
2. Add vanilla essence and icing sugar until smooth.
3. Gradually add the whipping cream and whip until the frosting is thick
enough to spread.

Its melt in your mouth bveautiful and the cream cheese tang is wonderfully complemented by the marscapone. Its just the right amount of sweetness.
