I have a customer that is doing an American doll party for her daughter. She wants loot bag cookies to go with the theme. I was at a complete loss on what to quote so I quoted on dress cookies, purses, and the American Doll logo. I don't think she was thrilled about any of the options but she agreed to the dresses. I was just planning to look at a couple styles of the doll's dresses and see if I could replicate them in cookie form. But honestly I just don't think the girls will recognize as anything but just a dress. Any recommendations? Ideas?

Other than the dresses and purses, there are always shoes and hats you could do. I'm thinking along the lines of paper dolls, which should work with American Dolls. I don't know what else your client expects. Cookies of the actual doll??? That would be way-y-y too expensive for her, as it would take so much time to get it to look nice! Did you ask her exactly what she was wanting and how much she wanted to spend? A super high quote for detailed doll cookies may make the other ideas you gave her suddenly sound really good!The pessimist complains about the wind;

Have you googled American doll coloring pictures?
You could print them out and use them for templates, just a head shot would be great

American Girl dolls (that's the official name).
They also have pets. Maybe you could make the pets cookies? I agree that the clothes mean nothing. Unless the dresses have the "star" logo on them. I'm two blocks away from the store in NYC, Fifth Avenue, so I know they have t-shirts for the dolls and some other casual clothes with the star on them. That will make them "American Girl" doll clothes.

I would do the star, that is a symbol that any American Girl collector will get. My daughter is 12 and has 9 dolls. She would know the star right away!They may not remember the words you said but they will remember how you made them feel.They may not remember the words you said but they will remember how you made them feel. - Chocolate Cookie Cake
