Is has been a few years since I have made flowers and now I need to make some for my nephew's wedding cake! I am using gumpaste for these. I use to use fondant only or fondant with gum-tex added. My question is what do those of you with experience use when rolling gumpaste out? I remember a class I took and someone (not the instructor) had me use cornstarch or powdered sugar and the gumpaste was too dry and ended up making a terrible flower. I have use a tiny bit of Crisco which helps but distorts the cutout petals when lifting it off the board. Would appreciate any help.
