I am planning to make a death by chocolate cake. I would like some input on how to arrange the various chocolate elements. I am planning on using chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, fudge frosting and buttercream. I was thinking of something like this: cake, ganache, cake, mousse, cake, ganache, cake, cover all in fudge frosting and top with either chocolate buttercream roses or mini chocolate chips. I would like some ideas on what the inner layers and outer covering should be. For instance should I switch out the ganache to be the outer covering and put the fudge frosting on the inside? Any suggestions would be wonderful.
