I am making a princess cake for my niece where each tier is a different princess. For the Rapunzel tier, I wanted to have a braid or something of hair going around for the boarder. I was trying to think of a way to pipe this....but I can't completely imagine it. I was thinking maybe the grass tip? Grass time and a rope? Maybe someone out there has tried this before? Thoughts? Thanks!

I just made a princess figurine and used a clay extruder to run fondant through. Kind of like the playdoh barber! but you could make large strands and braid it.. just a thought if you decide to use fondant/gumpaste.

That is a toy I wish I had! Not sure exactly how to do it by hand on my own.

I also use a clay extruder for hair. Maybe for piping just use tip number12 and go back and forth to give it a braid effect.
