I am going to be opening a cake/candy ect supply store. I will NOT sell any baked goods! I am having so much trouble coming up with a name. It's a lot harder than I thought but it is my TRUE passion so i figured... why not follow my dreams.
I want it to be fun, festive, unique and so many other things BUT i dont want it to make you think of an actual bakery.

Some words I like are
Cake
Factory
Sugar
Meggsie (My nickname)
Shop
Boutique
Emporium
Land

MY family really likes Meggsie's Bake Shop but MANY other people said it sounded like a bakery. So Any help would be great! icon_smile.gif

Thanks Megan.

What else are you planning on doing besides selling baking supplies? It will be very difficult for a cake supply retailer to be profitable without relying on classes, custom cake orders, etc.

I am sorry... I should have mentioned that I will be teaching classes. One day classes @25.00 and two days classes @45.00

I already have a mini cake business with my cousin but I want to do something that doesnt have any baked goods for sale. MAYBE cake pops and cookies other than that nothing.

If I were you I would emphasize the classes, since that's probably where you will be making your money. Something like "Meggsie's Pastry School & Supplies".

Offering small impulse buys likes cake pops and cookies (and beverages) is a good bet to bump up your average profit margin, you would have to check your local health dept to see if there are any additional rules for serving food.
