Hi,
I'm relativley new to baking... I mean I've baked since I was little but only just getting into it seriously now!
I want to bake a chocolate orange cupcake which I've done before loads of times but I want to make it really indulgent and have a gooey chocolate orange filling and vanilla frosting and also I want the outside of the cupcake to be coated in the chocolate, like a chocolate casing.
Would I paint melted chocolate round some muffin cases and leave to set, then bake the cupcakes in the chocolate casing? Obviously the chocolate will melt again when I bake it with the batter, but would it reharden once the cakes are cool?
Thanks for any advice!
SBL
Definitely dip the cupcakes in melted chocolate! I can smell the burnt chocolate already if you painted the cups with melted chocolate!
And I'm also wondering about the tuile part.
