Hello icon_smile.gif

I am going to be making wedding cakes (mainly) from my home. I am completely stuck on a name and was hoping you could help. Here is what I am looking to incorporate into the name:

- I want to convey two main ideas - that the cakes are delicious (baked from scratch) and that the designs are beautiful and elegant
- I speak French and would love to incorporate a French word that is easily recognizable by those who don't speak the language
- I want something timeless and unique

My young daughter wants to learn how to decorate cakes as well, and she is set on the name, "The Cake Chicks," but I don't want to turn people off should they not like women being referred to as "chicks."

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!

We need more information. Where do you live in Canada or your name. A nick name.

Often people take that into consideration when coming up with a business name. It is hard to help you with no other info.

Hi, Sorry, new to this board icon_smile.gif

I don't want to use my actual name and honestly don't have a nickname. I live in Newfoundland but am not from here so do not want to use that either. I don't know what other info to give you other than maybe the fact that I love roses, the colour pink, I am a mom of two (who will be helping me out), and I'm a bit of a busy beaver lol.

The Pink Rose Cakery or

Pink Rose Cake House

Petite Rose Cakes or Cake House

Try to come up with something about you or related to you.

This is all I can think of right now. Maybe others will have an idea.

When you come up with a few you like run a vote on the forum. We love to vote icon_smile.gif

Take care & Good Luck

Thank you for those. I love the polls, too, and will post a few of my faves in a bit.

How about " The Cake Chic "
It sort of incorporates your daughter's idea and your wish for a french word that is easily recognisable

I love the name of Newfoundland maybe you could incorporate that somehow. NewCakeLand in Newfoundland. Ummm or maybe not.
Pink Cake Lady
Rosey Cakes
If you dont like Chicks change it to Gals or Ladies......
The Cake Gals
Or
Mom and Me Bakery
Here are my suggestions. Good luck

Great suggestions so far, thank you all so much! Are any of you home bakers, and use "bakery or cakery or patisserie" in your name?? Thanks icon_smile.gif
