I am a self taught decorator who will be doing my very first wedding cake soon. My customer wants alternating tiers starting with a square cake. She has a rhinestone cake stand she wants to use that is "12 x 4". If I start with a 10" square, what should my other sizes be to make them fit? Also, when we discussed this order the bottom tier was to be 12' but I think it will look dumb on this stand she bought as it would be the same size. Any advise or suggestions greatly appreciated. So nervous over first wedding cake. One more thing. I usually use mmf but the last two times Ive had problems with taring and little crater looking things. Anyone know what's causing this?
