Okay so I making the following cake below and I need to know how to attach the stamens to the flowers. I am making the cake for next weekend and I need to start making the flowers now. Also I can't tell if the stamens in the centers are normal one or if anyone can tell me what kind they are and where I could get some.

The stamens kinda look like tool netting to me. Looped, tied in the middle (using wire) and then cut the loop ends and trim. Does that make sense? I am not sure they are stamens at all. I hope someone else jumps in. I really can't tell.

You make these stamens from cotton, I use quilting cotton as I find it sits a bit better and has more body.

You wrap the cotton around two fingers fifty to sixty times. Twist a fine gauge wire around each end of the loop securing well ( I use a 33 ) then snip in the middle. then trim to the size you want.
