Metallic finish on cake pops?

Anyone know how to achieve this? I have a bride wanting a silver finish on a cake pop but what will stick to white chocolate best? Airbrush spray, dust w/luster dust, any ideas?

Hi,

I have never done this but, if it was me, I would use the Luster Dust only to keep the moisture away from the chocolate.

Maybe, some of our fellow cakers will chime in on your question too.

Good Luck.

I think it is hard to put a metalic finish on chocolate with an airbrush. It gets wet and doesn't dry as well. Price accordingly if you brush it by hand, because it will take a lot.

Luster dust takes to chocolate very nicely. Here are some cake balls I made using luster dust.

You can buy Cocoa butter colored airbrush colors and metallics. They are sold at Restraunt supply and specialty chef shops.I have had a bit of luck using Americolor sheens but if you use too much it will bead...There is a member on the site who does Amazingly Fantastic cakepops and she uses Americolor metallic sheens all the time....Can't remember her name...Awesome work though....
