Hi Im going to be doing my first Topsy Turvy cake next month and wanted to know if a more sturdy sponge like cake was needed for this type of excution. Im wanting to make the bottom tier zebra (marbles) on the inside, the middle tier is going to be chocolate, and the top tier will be Cheetah Print inside(yellow cake with chocolate balls) . Thanks for any advice i get!

Hey cake mommy,
i actually use any cake flavors for my topsy cakes but I let the buttercream crust over really well before I start decorating. I also do several thin layers of buttercream over the crusting layer to make sure it's really sturdy. I hope that helps icon_smile.gif
