Patent Leather Chocolate

I am making an 8 inch chocolate high heel filled with cake balls and was wondering how to make it look like patent leather? Thank you.

Confectioner's glaze or I have seen on cake boss they use steam to make fondant shiny.

I'll have to check out confectioner's glaze. The steam will melt the chocolate. Thank you very much icon_smile.gif .

She says that she dissolved a little luster dust in vegetable oil and painted it on. It's a gorgeous shine!

I've never had much luck with confectioners glaze giving a good shine but the tip with lustre dust and veg oil sounds good to me. thumbs_up.gif
