Community Education Classes

I have been asked to teach some classes at my local University under Adult Continuing Education Classes.
I have worked out what I want to teach, time frame, supplies etc. What I am having trouble with is the student workbook. I have all the info typed out for each technique but I have no pictures. Should I go through and do each technique and take pictures or do you think they will be fine with just the typed info.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hello Krista,
I teach some classes through our community ed program. One is a basic class-icing, smoothing, VIVA-I have a detailed handout for that but there are few pictures on it. It is a step by step written guide to everything we actually do in class so they won't forget the steps when they get home.
On other classes -like a simple purse cake or different fondant bows, I actually make the cake/item and take photos of the steps. I use those pix for the lesson guide.

So you don't have pictures of the different techniques, like star piping, shell border, roses, etc.?
Do the students seem to follow along very well? I am afraid when they get back home they will not remember what it's supposed to look like and I will end up with constant e-mails.

We only do a little piping. I do have a reference sheet with pictures of the basics that I forgot all about until you mentioned it..
(My class is not a Wilton-type class.)

Also do you have supplies for them to use in class, or do you have a list of supplies for them to purchase?
