Hi,

I am making my cousins wedding cake but the problem is she lives 200+ miles away so it is being collected 2 days before the wedding and made 3/4 days before, I am told that adding glycerine to sponge makes it last a day two longer, can you give me an idea how much I would add to a 10" sponge recipe.

Many thanks
Sam

Just my humble opinion...... but I think a 3-4 day old sponge is going to be YUCK - no matter whether you add glycerine to it or not icon_cry.gif

Much better to select a cake that has a much longer shelf life
