Can I Use Fresh Bananas As Cake Filling?!

Making a 1/2 sheet cake and using canned strawberry filling and I want to use fresh bananas on top of that? But I'm afraid the bananas will brown..... HELP!

HI, here is a link to a banana filling, using fresh bananas. Just read it all. I have read before that using lemon juice will help keep them from turning brown. this should help you decide. I would definetly use them with the strawberry. hth

I usually use a brush and "paint" the lemon juice onto the bananas. Just ensures that the lemon juice is totally covering the bananas.
