I haven't tried one yet...they are $29.99 here in Baton Rouge. Curious to the taste if the "infamous Cake Boss cake" I guess they are being to shipped to Louisiana, Texas & Florida according to google. Has anyone tried one yet?

I saw this not too long ago on his Facebook. It is no wonder he has so much money for a huge facility. I'm in Texas but we don't have Albertson's in my area. They shut down years ago. H-E-B for the win! (Sorry, I'm just a Texas gal)

If you try it let us know how they taste. I don't have high hopes for them though.I'm sure they are just slathered on with icing, frozen, and shipped to stores like other cakes.

I think Buddy is really a sell out. I just see his name everywhere, on everything. So much for bakery fresh, Buddy.

That's exactly why they all picked up and high-tailed it out of here. Couldn't compete with H-E-B. thumbs_up.gif

Nope! Couldn't compete with HEB. Of course now there are other chains like Whole Foods but there was never anything special about Albertsons that made it worth going there.

I too think Buddy is a sell out. I'm all for having people being successful through hard work like he was in the beginning, but a frozen cake his minions just slapped together is not something I support. JMO.

They are selling them in BJ Wholesale also. I believe it is a 6 inch cake for 19.99

I tasted one and found it to taste just like a mix cake. Texture was a bit heavy. Boring designs. But good for Buddy, he's making himself list of money!!

We have an Albertson's here in good ole West Texas. Hmmm - - I'll have to go check this out, as much as I loathe buying a grocery store cake.

Ahhh, come on....give Buddy a little slack. Buddy's not a sell-out, he's just a capitalist making the most of his "15 minutes". I really hope his Lackawana facility makes a profit. That seemed as though it was a huge risk.

Anyone who becomes famous selling cakes to the masses at higher prices improves the market for all the other custom bakers. 10 years ago people didn't even know that "custom cake" or "fondant" existed except for weddings.

Buddy and Duff have raised the bar for custom cake pricing all over the USA.

I'm looking forward to seeing a cake and hearing how it tastes.

True and well said Apti. They have developed the market for all of us to sell custom-cakes. Without their shows and popularity, people in my country would never pay premium prices for bespoke cakes when they grew up getting $10 standardized grocery cakes.

You're all right. It's his 15 minutes of fame and more power to him.. I consider myself an "Official Cake Snob" and won't eat anyone else's cakes but my own or as a taste test then will report back to my cake buddies. I know that a few people have tried his cake recipes in his book and weren't impressed. I may buy one just for laughs. I miss Duff. Wish Ace Of Cakes would come back

I won't eat that cake mix frozen grocery store crap, but good for him for making the deal and taking the payday. If people want to buy them then have at it.

The AOC crew used to post here a while back. I liked that show. I tried to watch Cake Boss on Netflix but I just couldn't take them seriously. It all seemed fake.

It is fake, they work from a script. My friend works on the film crew.

Cool, an insider. What does your film crew friend think about the goodies at the shop?
