I've read that some people steam their gumpaste flowers. One person said they did it three times, with I'm assuming time in between to dry. Does anyone have experience with this? Does it make much of a difference? What does it do to the look of the luster or petal dust?

thanks for your help

I always steam my flowers to set the colour, if you have a look in my gallery pretty much all my flowers are steamed.

I sometimes redust and steam again to deepen a colour too.
