Hello. Does anyone have a tried & true GF Red Velvet Cake Recipe and advice they could share with me? I've never done any GF baking so I'm a little intimidated. A co-worker asked for one for his mother's birthday THIS FRIDAY! Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!
This one is similar to the recipe we use:

But if you've never done gluten-free baking before I would probably pass on this request, since it does take quite a bit of time to find ingredients from safe suppliers, perfect the recipe, and put in place a baking process that will prevent cross-contamination.
I totally agree with jason_kraft. I too would pass on the request especially if the person receiving the cake has Celiac. There is a lot more to Gluten-Free Baking then just different flour. Cross contamination is a huge problem for those of us with Celiac. Also Gluten is in many products including some Baking Powder. I would pass on this request until you do a lot of research on safe Gluten-Free Baking.
Take Care

That's true! However sometimes it could be a preference thing, so before passing up the business, confirm it!
I know in my case, I'm not allergic to gluten however I prefer it when I can as it is much easier to digest!
If they are celiac, I would definately give it a miss for now until you do further research!
