Hi all, I am asking that you please keep my mother and sister in your prayers. They are in North Carolina and hurricane Ophelia is really doing some damage there. They were in the process of leaving when the county issued them to stay where they were. My mother lives in a mobile home RIGHT OFF the water. You can actually look out of her bay windows and see the ocean. She has taken the proper steps to ensure their safety. I was on the phone with her, and you could actually hear the wind blowing...at about 75 mph. I am in South Carolina and was tempted to go there to get them, but they have issued a curfew and won't let anyone thru. I am worried about both of them, but my sister has a major health condition..she has a seizure disorder and stress offsets them. I am just praying that with the grace of God, she won't need medical attention during this time (or any other for that matter), as it would be hard for the Emergency Medical Services to get to them because of the water. Mom says she can see the water creeping up the docks and its not even high tide yet... Please please keep them in your prayers, and I thank you so much in advance....

Oh Beth, will defintely keep them and you in my prayers. I know how hard it is to wait it out until it is all over and you hear from them again. God Bless.
Beth, I'll also remember your family in my prayers... I know how hard it must be for you to be away from them while all of this is going on.. remember they're in God's hands and he'll take care of them!!
Beth I can only imagine what you must be going through right now. I will keep you all in my prayers.. God Bless you all.

Hey everyone TY so much for your prayers. My mom called me and said that her and my sister were trapped inside because of the water levels rising so high. I contacted the county sheriff and they dispatched the National Guard out to get her and my sister. They are now on their way to safety. Mom says that when they went outside, the water was up to her thighs. My sister is fine, and suprisingly she wasnt scared at all. What a trooper!!! They should be able to return home tomorrow. TY again for your prayers. Also, they told mom that if she hadn't gotten out when she did, she would have had to stay there. So, yes, God still works miracles!!
Thank you again!!

Hhmn, I think we need to do a dance to ward off the hurricanes! Geesh, it is just me or does it seem like all we do is watch CNN and the Weather Channel these days?

I know it-just too many hurricanes this year. We're already on "O" with 2 months left in the season.
I'm glad your family is OK. Praying for everyone in Ophelia's path.
