Client likes the cake in the second photo. I think there are calla lilies, (oriental?) lilies, ivy, some filler flowers/leaves. Flower experts, what do you think? The bouquet seems quite rich but the top tier will be just 6'' (tiers in the photo are 18'' + 9'' and 8'' tall, at least that's the description - however, look less tall to me...). How many flowers would I need? I'm sorry the photo is not great.

First photo: is the design on tiers piped royal icing?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

First photo definitely looks like piped RI to me. Also looks brushed with pearl luster.
Will be interested to hear recommendations on # of flowers for 6" tier!

I believe it's a molded white design - overpiped here and there with royal. How many flowers for a 6" cake? If you want to go over the top like the second cake I would say 6 - plus fillers would do it. If you make your flowers larger you can get away with 3 or 4 plus fillers. It's such a hard question to ask because there's too many unknowns (size of flowers and what you envision).

For a 6" tier I'd say 5 callas - odd #s are always look better - along w/fillers , ribbon & tulle.
It does depend on how big you make the callas. If you have a heart cutter at least 3" (from dip to point) they will be a nice size.

I dunno what it is, but for some reason, I find realistic edible models of toxic flowers (which several of the flowers depicted here are) to be less-than-appetizing.
