How does one serve samples? Do you make a sheet cake and slice small servings? Do you make cupcakes and split them in 2 for 2 samples? Never done it before! Need ideas from expertsicon_smile.gif

First, make sure you comply with how your local HD wants you to do it. You may need to package them and allergy label them, or there may be no rules at all.

You need for the customer to try it without having sticky fingers and you want the delivery to be sanitary, not public.A way to pick it up, and not with your fingers directly on the product, is important.

In your scenario, mini cupcakes sound like the best way to go.

When we participated in vendor fairs (only a few times, for events focused on gluten-free living) we made simple sheet cakes in a few flavors and cut them up into small slices on individual plates as they were requested.

This prevents people from grabbing multiple servings and getting samples without talking to you, plus it tends to form a longer line in front of your booth, which piques the interest of other attendees.

In the state where you live one needs a special one day lisence and all samples *MUST* be in a lidded cup/container. NO open, uncovered food of any kind is allowed at any time.
