My niece is asking me to make her a bday cake using the exact pink & purple in the cake below. I think Americolor violet would work for the purple (but not positive). I am completely stumped as to what color or colors to use for the pink. Any suggestions? TIA

I would go with Americolor Electric Pink.

Anytime Anyone asks for a specific color, I ask for a swatch. The trouble with sending pictures is that computer screens vary, printers vary, lighting varies. I also promise to do my best but remind them that I am not Sherwin Williams & the color may not be exact but will be very similar.

Thanks mcaulir! I used Americolor Electric Pink on my mermaid cake I just made & it was more of a neon pink color. Will the color deepen if I add more color & let it sit for a couple of days? I know this happens with deeper colors like black & red.

It WILL fade - even when exposed to fluoro light - heck it fades when exposed to ANY light.

The only way I have found to reduce it is to use a base colour of another pink - like Raspberry (Wilton or Creative??)

You could definitely use Wilton Rose and get that color. If you use your neon pink, just add a bit of brown to tone it down a bit.

Thanks you Applegumpam & AnnieCahill for the advice. I really appreciate it! I will try adding another color to tone down the electric pink.
