Contacted pillsbury about mixes

Via an email contact form. I wrote how it is heavy, and full of holes and how I have tried to modify it with more mix, and more flour, and a mixture of additional mix and flour. It has all been trash, and i depend on it for my business. I also suggested that they come up with a way to market the "old" mix, at the original weight, for 25% more, since the new one is 20% less for the same amount. I would be happy to pay it, to have the other one back!! If anyone else would like to contact them, please do so! www.pillsburybaking.com/contact-us-general

I encourage anyone who has an interest, to contact them. Tell them your experience, and suggest they go back to the old mix. Be polite, but let them know it stinks!

Since I don't bake anymore I won't be contacting them but I sure have sympathy for all of you who are trying hard to work with the new mixes icon_sad.gif

Hi Annabakescakes- I actually wrote to them and heard back! In response to a letter I sent regarding the newly reformulated cake mixes that were introduced in July, the Smuckers® company, owners of Pillsbury®, has responded and invited me to meet with their marketing and research and development teams in October. While the company knew that many bakeries buy their wholesale bulk cake mix for volume production work, they were surprised to learn that so many small home businesses and bakeries used the 18.25 oz. boxed cake mixes for their cakes. They assumed that grocery store sales reflected household consumers, and the outpouring of unhappy responses they received from business owners regarding the new product was unexpected. In an effort to give them a more accurate picture of how we use cake mixes in our cake decorating businesses, Id appreciate your feedback in the following questionnaire if youd like to participate. Right now there are 110 respondents, totaling thousands of cases of cake mix purchased, and many are home cake decorating business owners and bakeries. I'd love it if you share the survey link with any cake friends- thanks! I will post an update of the numbers when it's totaled.
