My bride found a cake here but only saved the .jpg. It's a three tiered cake with a black chandelier stencil as well as a bride and groom stencil. Where can I get these stencils???

Think the original designer of this cake was Liz Russell (Cake Lady Cakes) in Sydney Australia

http://www.cakeladycakes.com/wedding-cakes3.html#

but it has been done by many decoraters since - some better than others! LOL

The chandelier in your pic and Liz's are different to the stencil available from Designer Stencils - the silhouette of the dancing couple is a fondant cutout - you could hand cut it - or take advantage of a GOOD cutting machine - ie one like the Silhouette that can cut files imported from other sources - NOT a Cricut that relies on cartridges

I have noticed a new stencil out - cheaper Chinese 'knock-off' ones that has a few different dancing silhouettes - personally I think the fondant looks better icon_smile.gif

I'm not a big edible image fan, but that's how I'd do this cake.

I'd apply the images to very thin, fresh white fondant and then bring in the rough textured icing relatively close to the edges. If the surface icing is BC, the thin fondant image could be pressed in very slightly, too.

Another option would be to stencil using edible paint/markers onto a sugar sheet that's been (or will be) applied to fresh fondant.

The tiny bits on that chandelier would drive me nuts trying to stencil it with royal icon_confused.gif

Sorry but although the concept might be the same - these stencils would not do this design justice!

Original design is a sleek, elegant looking modern bride & modern groom -  this stencil is ... well..... NOT that !

The one you posted actually appears to be edible images.

Do you mean the pic that is above or the one that was done by the original Australian designer?

I know for a fact that the original one she did she hand cut it from fondant -  she has done many versions, so this one might not be the first (think it was early days of Flickr  - and I think it is the most copied cake around

I meant the one OP posted :)

The original has a 2 tier version that I love, with an extended tier on top, I like it better than any of the 3 tiers I have seen.
