BEST yellow cake recipe????!!!!

ok well my moms birthday is in September. I know i have like a month to go but i like to prepare for things. Her favorite cake is yellow cake with chocolate frosting. I once searched the best yellow cake on the internet and people were saying it was the best cake they have ever had. But it was not good to me at ALL. it tasted like cornbread. but i know i cook it right. so please tell the best yellow cake you've ever made, i guess im looking for sweet. i thought cakes were sweet. icon_cool.gif thanks

I like Sylvia Wienstock's yellow cake, it is sweet icon_smile.gif I don't think cake should taste like cornbread either
