I went out to buy some Wilton's Pre-made Decorator Icing (so I can start practicing). Well my store must have programmed the bar-codes wrong on the containers, because they rang up for only $0.57!! I didn't notice until I got home and was checking my receipt. Aren't they usually around $5.00? I'm going to go back tomorrow and buy some more, LOL! icon_lol.gif

i know that i will bring rain drops into this but i think that you should bring it to the store attention that a mistake was made. that isn't really a bargin for you if they didn't have it on sell on purpose. so think about it. i know that we pay dear for the things that we buy. but they are always things on sale the correct way. just please think about it. if it were your store how much profit would you lose if that were your frosting didn't mean to rain on your parade

meandmine you are not putting rain drops into this!!! You are just saying what you feel and that's just fine. This has never happened to me so I can't say what I would do, however there have been times where I've gone shopping and and come home only to realize that I've been overcharged and yet I didn't to back for a refund.

I'm with Daniela on this one.

I have brought errors up at the time of sale before and had both "oh well, we'll just let it go this time" because the employee didn't feel like dealing with it to the employee acting like I did something wrong! I did get a free 40lb bag of dog food one time after being overcharged for it the first time. thumbs_up.gif

That's so cool. Today I got a free coffee mug because she said it wasn't in the computer. So she gave it to me for free! How great is that? : )

If it makes you feel any better, I DID mention it to the cashier when I went back for something I had forgotten to buy (cake leveler). She said their policy is to give it to the customer for whatever it rings up for. She said that they've mentioned it before to the person in charge of the pricing, and they didn't seem in a hurry to fix it. This is the PX btw...so it's not like it's a family-owned store or anything. But I did have the conscience to tell them...icon_wink.gif

i'm glad that you did let the cashier know and i didn't mean to offend you or anybody but we all have to be careful in this life because what we do does come back good and bad. so enjoy your frosting and your practice.

since we are on the subject of ringing errors..... If you shop at walmart and they ring up the wrong price ...when you bring it the cashiers attention...they should also credit you $3.00 even if it is 2 cents off....thats just there policy......my sister works there and shared this secret with me .... now whenever i shop i always check the registar as they ring me up
