Hi,
I have been having trouble with my cake pops cracking once they are dry. I have been making cakepops for about 2 years now and this has not always happened but I don't think I am doing anything different than what I've always done icon_sad.gif
I have tried adding just a little bit of shortening and also tried none at all and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Not all of them will crack (only about 50%) but it is very frustrating. It usually happens after they have been dry for about an hour or more, sometimes even over night. I use the wilton candy melts to dip in.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I would love to hear from you!

Arlene.

Are you refrigerating them? Or putting them in the freezer before dipping? There are LOTS of complaints on here about W melts. Try Merckens if they're available near you. I also think that Paramount Crystals work better than shortening. They are cocoa butter.
