I am having trouble finding the best way to sort my pictures. Was wondering how others do it. I would like to have an album for each event - wedding, birthday, etc. But when I go to add pictures the post includes all the likes and comments of the previous cakes which I dislike. And I really don't like to have to add a new album for each cake I make. Is there any other way.

And I specifically don't sort, because I don't want people picking something out. I design fresh for each person. So really, I feel like it doesn't matter what the occasion was, here's my work. Make sense?

I have found that to be a problem too. If you only add one picture/album/day then only that picture and it's comments will show up when you publish it. Only solution I have found so far.
There's always an occasion for cake.

This happens because people comment on the album rather the actual picture. I find that this usually happens because when you post more than one pic, facebook will publish the album with a preview of the new pics that you have added to that album. People will usually place their comments on the news feed rather than open the album and comment on the individual pics. The best solution would be to post your pics one at a time.
