We moved about a month ago, and all the essentials were unpacked and ready to go within a few hours. There was a ton of stuff still in boxes but if we had wanted to we certainly could have held a catered housewarming party the following day.
If we had a wedding scheduled on or around the closing date we probably would have done the same thing.
