I'm making a ricotta cheese yellow cake for my Mother-in-law's birthday. I've made this cake before and it's delicious, but never as a decorated cake. My question is, what flavor of frosting would be best paired with this cake? My first though was cream cheese, but then I thought maybe too many cheese flavors going on there. Just a plain vanilla? Something fruity flavored? Suggestions, please!

I love lemon icing with a yellow,white cake... Ricotta cheese cake sounds yummy..
I make my icing and add 1/4 cup of thawed frozen yellow lemonade ... Mix in slowly... Add more for taste.... Just a suggestion. Therese
