Hi,

I need to make two 3" tall x 3-1/2" long dinosaur cake toppers by Friday!!!
I'm nervous about the ones I made with Gumpaste in a few pieces that I will "glue" and cover with one piece of fondant/Gumpaste/tylose. I'm not confident about this process. The dinosaurs are each one piece -no visible seams.

Anyone have a better idea? Couple does not want it edible so they can keep. I never tried modeling chocolate which sound ideal to mold but does it dry hard? Also, I just though maybe I could also re-do shaping the dinosaurs with foil before covering? All suggestions welcomed. Thanks!!!

Not edible is fantastic. You can make a simple wire armature, and then add tin foil to bulk it up and cover with colored fondant/tylose mix.

Or, like the picture, use green polymer clay. If you use the clay, just bake it in the oven for a while. It comes out great.

if they dont want it edible why not just go to the store and buy toys? You can add gumpaste to the toys (if for instance if you wanted to add the little flower to the dinosaurs head) to dress it up??
