Has anyone tried the KNK zing electronic cutter? I am ready to purchase an electronic cutter and came across the Zing. I looks amazing, but I would love some feedback from someone who has used it on icing.

Any electonice cutter will work with icing sheets. I use the SIlhouette Cameo. I have tried the Zing, but it is not as easy to use as the Silhouette. The print and cut feature with the Silhouette is great. The Silhouette software is the best, especially for the print and cut. The Zing uses Make the Cut, but you can also use MTC with the Silhouette as well. The Silhouette is less money than the Zing.
Bottom line is to really check out what you will get. I got my Silhouette from Linda McClure and if I ever have a problem I can get help from her. She is the one who started the technique of using electronic cutters for cake decorating.

Go with the Silhouette. The main reason is that the Zing has a three point registration, but you manually have to line it up. What while you try and manually line it up you have to do this by looking at the computer screen while you are at the zing trying to line it up. If you cant see your computer screen from your zing then you have to have two people. It is a big bulky machine and is frustrating. WIth the silhoutte, it does it all for you. Just feed the paper in and it will automatically line things up. If you still want a zing...I have one for sale as it is too much of a pain to use, I am selling it. Love my Cameo...plus as Bonnie said...you have Linda McClure, the pioneer of electronic cutting backing it up with knowledge.
