I am making a cake for next weekend for a co-worker. I am new to cake decorating and have just been having fun playing with fondant and gum paste. Last weekend I made a cake using the WASC recipe just because I have been wanting to try it. My co-workers are enjoying my new hobby and they get to eat what I make. This co-worker loved that cake and asked me to make one for her daughter's 30th birthday party.

So, she wants a 3 tiered cake. The top and bottom tiers will be WASC cake and the middle will be the chocolate version. I saw the very well rated raspberry filling recipe and think I will use that for the top and bottom layer.

What would you suggest for the chocolate layer? I need something that doesn't need to be refrigerated.

I know the raspberry would probably go well with the chocolate layer too but I was thinking not everyone likes raspberry so I wanted to give them another option.

The possibilities are endless!
Peanut butter buttercream
Cookies and cream
Chocolate ganache
Or even just a simple Chocolate buttercream ...etc

Just use your imagination! Lots of flavors pair well with chocolate!
