Need Help ,if I Leave Out Fondant What Will Happen

So i made some mmf to make a bow and mini mouse ears I am doing for my friends daughter party cupcakes I want them to be nice and hard when I stick them in the buttercream so they stick up and don't bend down because this party is going to be outside I live in California so it's hot , if I precut the shapes and leave them out a few days will this make them hard ? Someone help please icon_sad.gif

If you mix your fondant with gumpaste 50/50 it will get quite hard, although I have never tried it with homeade MMF. Definitely works with store bought fondant. You can also mix some Tylose into your fondant although I don't think it gets as firm.

I had to make some flowers for a 21st cake. I mixed some CMC with my fondant made the flowers and let then sit for a week in my pantry. They dried nicely without cracking, you just can't play with the shape once they are set. So make sure thayou have the shape you want. I am from Australia and it gets pretty hot here too and they didn't wilt or get soggy. I hope that helps.
