I am very much in the learning stage and was baking cakes for grandson's party, things going well(for a change) and I left cakes crusting in the middle of the dining room table (room has "pocket" doors so I can close it off). Went outside to help DH with something, he goes back into house for whatever & returns. Sooo, when I go back to work on the cakes, I find one door to the dining room open-hmm-know I closed it? Inside the room, is one of my Danes standing next to the table very quietly enjoying a tier of cake
(apparently carrot cake is very yummy to dogs) ! DH had to take a peek while he was inside & didn't quite close the door! Thank heavens our other 2 were still outside or I'd probably would have had it all over the room! Needless to say, didn't want to chance he'd tested the other tiers, so all in the trash & start over. Think I'll have to get locks for those doors....live and learn
