A butter cream question from a newbie

Thread Starter
Doing a fondant covered cake in two weeks that must travel 2 hrs in a car. I understand that hi ratio shorting butter cream would be good in this case. If I can not find the hi ratio shorting can just use wilton butter cream or a IMBC?

and what filling would pair with a carrot cake and a vanilla cake?

edited for bad spelling, sorry.

I use wilton's BC recipe except I use margarine instead of butter. 1/2 c margarine 1/2 c shortening 4 c PS 2 tbsp heavy cream 1 tbsp essence of your choice. It is a crusting BC. Make sure your AC is working really good for that 2 hour trip. I have taken many wedding cakes to venues using the wilton BC. Maximum drive time has been 1 hour. Nothing went wrong. It isn't an icing I have ever seen droop or melt at temperatures of 92 degrees F.
