I was hoping you guys can help me out. I have never worked with color flow before and basically i am making a bronco logo to go on top of a sheet cake. When i was reading the directions for the Wilton color flow it said to make sure that cake that has been refrigerated or frozen comes to room temp before placing color flow decorations on it because it will break down the color flow...... anybody know if this truly happens? The cake that I am making requires refrigeration and will be taken by a family member to a distant location for a rehearsal dinner, so placing the color flow decoration on the cake when i get there isn't an option as i will not be present at the event. So i need to place it on there prior and it will need to be refrigerated....... does refrigeration truly break down color flow? if so should i just cut a board to fit under it so that it is not in contact with the BC? Thanks icon_biggrin.gif

Use plastic wrap under the logo.

Or better, cut a piece of gumpaste to the outline and dry it. Then do your Color Flow right onto that. No board or plastic needed.

the condensation that will gather on top of the color flow item if its refrigerated will cause the colors to run (even though the item was dry when placed on the cake)
