I am doing a birthday cake for a party on Sunday (in two weeks). If I bake the cakes on Friday night, wrap them, then decorate them on Saturday morning/afternoon, will that be ok? I don't want them to dry out. Would it be better to bake them all on Saturday morning? I worry about running out of time if I do that.

That will be just fine. The cakes wont dry out if you wrap them. thumbs_up.gif

I always bake my cakes well in advance and freeze them. I find them easier to frost after they have been frozen. Make sure to wrap them well and let them defrost completely before icing. icon_smile.gif

That should be okay. Wrap is the importanet thing. I will often bake , cool, fill, crumbcoat and then wrap if it is a few days before delivery day. Especially when I get bogged down with work that week. That way I can go back to it to ice and decorate when I have the chance just before delivery.
