I am trying to familiarize myself with some great gluten free recipes and am wondering if my normal buttercream recipe is gluten free. I checked the ingredients on everyhthing I use and don't see any wheat listed. Do I need to look for something else as well? It needs to be celiac friendly. Also, any great recipes anyone is willing to share would be appreciated
Thank you!!!

For people with corn allergies, Trader Joe's carries organic powdered sugar made with tapioca starch instead of corn starch. You can also make your own powdered sugar with tapioca starch.
Good gluten-free cakes aren't too difficult to make, there are many recipes available online. (But if you want to make a great GF cake there is quite a bit of R&D involved.) You can even buy GF mixes now.
On the process side, in addition to sanitized surfaces and instruments you'll also want to make sure there are no airborne contaminants, so if flour has been used wait at least 24 hours before exposing GF products or ingredients to the air. Also make sure you store GF products and ingredients above anything with gluten.
