Lemon cake recipe

Hi everyone,

I have been searching in the recipe links and threads but I can't find a recipe for a lemon cake. I am doing this for my brother in law's birthday but I've never made a lemon cake before. Does anyone have a lemony cake recipe they can share? Any help is greatly appreciated. I've seen Ina Garten's recipe so i may try that if all else fails.

This is how I found them: I went to Google and in the search box I put "lemon cake recipe site:cakecentral.com"; I recommend that for finding anything on the CC site.

I to am looking for a lemonade cupcake reicpe, actually pink which comes from die or red fruits added to the lemonade. I did a search on pinterest and came up with probably 10 recipes. I am going to test today, probably 4 of them. After looking at the recipes most of them were to similar to try them all. I ruled out other recipes on pinterest and CC because they either used cake mix or drink mix.

I will have to keep this in mind when searching on CC because I searched and I went up to page 30 when I typed in lemon cake.
