Help Needed With Frosting

I am making cupcakes for my sons wedding in july and everytime i use buttercream, after a while it starts to melt and looks awful, i wondered if there is an alternative frosting that can be piped that wont melt xx

What is the base of your buttercream? You can try an all shortening version.

It sounds like your recipe has too muich liquid in it.
Do you have hot hands? This could be contributing to the probmem.

i always use an all butter recipie could this be the problem, i have never used shortening but its worth a try, does it still taste the same though xx

Nope. I do a half and half recipe. I have tried MANY all shortening recipes and I hate them-all I feel is greasy film on my tongue. The dream buttercream recipe on here that is half and half is very good.
