Hi everyone! I am making a zebra cake and originally was just going to make a white fondant cake a place black stripes on it but I see that there are these sugar sheets in zebra print. The zebra tier is an 8x8 square cake. I have heard of using the sheets for cutouts but is it possible to use them to cover a whole cake? Would it fall apart?
Any info would be HUGELY appreciated!
TIA

Have you tried these sheets? I used the cricut ones and they were horrible. They tasted gross and became hard and brittle. They do make sheets of fondant you can buy to cover a cake. I would hand paint the stripes or cut-out fondant.

No I haven't tried them. They looked interesting so I wanted to ask before I shelled out the money for them. I wasn't sure how they would work or if they were worth it. I will stick with my fondant strips then, thanks!

The sheets do get brittle, can come loose from edges, and taste awful.

I think they're great for accents, stripes, etc., but I wouldn't cover a whole cake in them and recommend anyone eat it.
