I once had a recipe for homemade gum paste that doesn't use gum tex or any other commercial powders. I recall that it used egg whites, powder sugar, flavoring and a few other ingredients. But, I can't find the recipe anywhere on my computer. Can anyone help me?

I can't imagine any gp recipe not using some kind of 'gum'. What would make it stretch? I think one of the best pg recipes out there is Nic Lodge's. It basically is royal icing w/Tylose added.
