When I click on something I like to keep the CC tab open and not have it go to another site. Is there a way you can fix this, most other forums send you to a new tab so that you do not lose where you are.

Instead of clicking directly on that link, right click on the link. A box will drop down. Click on Open Link in New Tab and you won't lose our beloved CC.

If you are using Firefox you can also hold down the control key when you click the link.

this is also something that annoys me. i was hoping CC could adjust their internal code that interprets links to target a new window or new tab.

You can set this option up in your web browser.
Somewhere under TABS there is a box to click that reads something like "open new url in new window".
That means that you just open a new window, type your new url, and CC is still there to cut and paste links. You just click back and forth.

If your mouse has a wheel in between the buttons, you can just click with that and it will open in a new window

I didn't know myself until about a week ago when my too-smart-for-his-own-good 13 year old son told me!
