What do you do to keep control of the airbrush mess?

I recently bought an airbrush and love it. But it somehow gets all over the floors. And I even noticed it in the air vents when I was cleaning them today. Right now I just use a poster board over the counter top and a 3 walled project board around whatever I'm airbrushing. I've heard of some using their garage, but I really don't want to do that. One, it's way too hot here in FL for that, and Two - I don't really want to take a cake out into the dirty garage.

So what do you do?

TIA!

You can get a large carboard box from Staples that the cake will fit inside and that will contain it to a certain extent. I vote for the outside option, though, if it's possible. I set up a card table and do dusting and airbrushing outside for gumpaste flowers. I'd be slightly more reluctant to take a cake outside, so I know what you mean, but it wouldn't be any different from setting a cake up outside for an outdoor reception.

I do my airbrushing outside on the back porch. For smaller items, I set up a large box and line it with a damp towel. The damp towel captures most of the overspray.

I want one of those so bad I can taste it, but there is no flipping way I will pay that much for one!!

I would rather make 1 cake for $150, than 3 for $50 each.

The person who works for nothing will always have plenty to do!

My sarcasm is good-humored. People generally really like me, in person ;-)
