I also wish to say thanks for posting that adorable photo. It doesn't look too hard (with some practice), and creates an absolutely adorable dino that even tiny toddlers can eat safely.
Please post a photo of your cupcakes on this thread when you get them done! We'd love to see your version.
These are really cute!! I just did a dinosaur cake which is posted on cake central. Mine is not buttercream dinosaur figurines. The little boy we gave cake to loves to play with figurines so he was really happy to have all the dinosaurs which were made of plastic to play with after eating the cake. We washed the dinosaurs in hot soapy water really good before putting them on cake. His father told us that he has been playing with the dinosaurs all week long since they ate the cake.
I really love the piped on dinosaurs too!! They are very cute!! Thank you for posting. I will probably try to make cupcakes with some like this also!! There sure are a whole lot of talented people around. I really get some awesome ideas from this site!! I want to thank everyone for helping me to learn!! I am thankful to have found this site!!! You people really rock!!!
I went to the photomark on the photo and she gives specific instructions (scroll down to the end of the comments) on her blog:
